To turn on Track Changes (that is, to tell Word to track each change you make in your document), do one of the following: Q: How do I tell Word to track the changes I make to my document?
To remove the tracked changes from the document, you must accept or reject them Turning off (ie, hiding) the tracked changes doesn't remove them.
And, at the same time, Word may, or may not, be displaying those tracked changes. At the same time, Word may, or may not, have stored changes you made to the document at some point in the past. Finally, use "Save As" (File -> Save As) to save the file with a new name. 
After the inspection is done, click the "Close" button at the bottom of the window, then hit the Esc key to return to your document. When the next screen appears, click on “Remove All” (to the right of “Document Properties and Personal Information”).
After confirming that only the "Document Properties and Personal Information" box is checked, click the "Inspect" button at the bottom of the window. MOST IMPORTANTLY, do not check the "Comments, Revisions, Version, and Annotations box" - checking that box can lead to the deletion of all comments in the document. In the "Document Inspector" window, check ONLY the "Document Properties and Personal Information" box. In the screen that opens, click on the "Check for Issues" box a drop-down menu will appear - from that, choose "Inspect Document". From the menu options at the top of the screen, click "FILE". For safety, save a copy of the document under a different file name. Open the document that has been saved with comments that you want to make anonymous. 
The author of your comments will change to "Author." If this does not work, close the document and reopen it. Check the box for: "Remove personal information from this file on save".In the tabs at the top of the document window ("Home", "Insert", etc.), click Review -> Protect -> Protect Document.
